Featured Shop: Ellen's Alley

Eleni in Paris

Eleni from Ellen's Alley is an architect with a passion for design, whose shop is stocked with beautiful cushions and lamps that are classically modern. She favours clean lines, simple design and muted colours, but the overall look is still warm and welcoming. This week, some of the team have been putting their questions to her.

Lina from the Attic Princess asks:
Would you share with us a bit of your daily routine?

Eleni
I usually wake up early and start with my projects, search for supplies in the internet or by visiting the center of Athens. Twice a week I take a break and go to the gym. Once my boyfriend comes from his work, we eat together. In the evening we take a walk and have a drink by the sea, as our home is very close to that, or we stay at home and watch our favorite series.

Lina
And what is your architectural style and influence?

Eleni
I love the clean and strict design and is something that is distinguished in my architectural work in the previous years. I’m a big fan of Tadao Ando’s work, a Japanese architect and I also prefer the Scandinavian style in the interior design.

Lelaine from Pebble Creek Candles asks
What do you enjoy about having an etsy shop?

Eleni
I really enjoy the whole process of my craft work and be able to share it with other people. Also as a old buyer I love discovering new products and communicate with sellers from all over the world!

Lelaine
What is your favorite fruit or vegetable?

Eleni
As for vegetables and fruits, I have to say that I enjoy all that fresh ones that my parents collect from their garden!

Thankyou Eleni for taking the time to tell us a bit about yourself.

  1. Your shop is so pretty, Ellen. I love your new lamps! I can def see the Japanese influence. I'm a big fan of Japanese art & style as well. I have done some zakka sewing as gifts for friends and it was really fun.
